WSWNE Board of Directors for 2025-26
The Welsh Society of Western New England (WSWNE) gratefully remembers the unremitting struggles of our ancestors, and is mindful of the values of human freedom and dignity. WSWNE is dedicated to celebrating and learning about all things Welsh. At our events we magnify Wales in the eyes of the World by promoting, developing, and perpetuating the linguistic, spiritual, literary and musical heritage of Wales.
WSWNE events may include:
Gatherings and luncheons in towns in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut
Welsh Genealogy research workshops and presentations
Welsh language Conversation sessions
St. David’s Day, Owain Glyndwr Day and Christmas celebrations, with presenter/music Welsh Afternoon Teas and Wine & Welsh Cheese Tasting
Watching Welsh films and Wales' Rugby and soccer teams
Trips to Welsh events in New York City and other nearby states Annual attendance at the North American Festival of Wales (NAFOW) http://thewnaa.org/
Most of our members have Welsh heritage or were born in Wales and others are drawn to gatherings through their interest in the country, language and culture.WSWNE encourages the peaceful comity of nations, and relationships with other Celtic cultures: Scottish, Irish, Cornish, Manx and Breton.
